Head of Technology at nolla_E – Leading Energy Optimization for Built Environment

At nolla_E, we are leading the way in real estate energy optimization and design. Our proprietary algorithms and machine learning models enables the best energy solutions for every real estate. We differentiate from markets, by evaluating all possible energy solution combinations compared to traditional vendors. To back this up, we have already hundreds of clients we’ve helped! And that’s not even the whole story. In addition we design and build very sophisticated zero emission energy systems for heating and cooling.
We are now looking for a Head of Technology to take our platform to the next level. While we have a strong solution in place, you’ll have the freedom to redesign the architecture and make key decisions on our technology stack, allowing you to make a significant impact from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technology strategy: Define and drive the future of nolla_E’s technology, ensuring it remains at the cutting edge of energy optimization for real estate.
- Architectural leadership: Assess the current architecture and design innovative solutions to optimize for scalability, performance, and flexibility.
- Technology choices: You will have the authority to make key decisions on technology tools, frameworks, and methodologies, ensuring nollaE stays ahead in the field.
- Collaborate & innovate: Work with our other developers and company founder. We also like you to participate in coding to keep things lean. This will change when we grow of course!
- Team leadership: Build and mentor a growing technology team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
About You:
- Active leader: You have a deep understanding of technology architecture and coding. You lead with example.
- Experience in energy or real estate: Prior experience in energy optimization, real estate technology, or related fields is a strong advantage though not mandatory
- Technical expertise: Strong background in modern technology stacks, cloud architectures, SaaS-solutions, machine learning models, and working with data.
- Data-driven: You thrive in environments where data and algorithm-driven decision-making is central to the product.
- Innovative mindset: You are always seeking better ways to optimize, refine, and improve solutions for maximum impact.
- Language skills: In addition to having good proficiency in Finnish, you can also speak English and preferably also some Swedish.
