Earlier this October, nolla_E participated in EXPO REAL 2025, Europe’s largest real estate

and investment trade fair, held in Munich. The event brought together over 1,700 exhibitors

and 42,000 participants from more than 70 countries – all focused on the future of circular construction, energy efficiency, and sustainable building solutions.

For nolla_E, the fair was an opportunity to showcase our energy efficiency optimisation

software, designed to enable the reuse of HVAC systems and reduce the lifecycle emissions

of buildings.

Circular Economy Afternoon Session – insights and inspiration

One of the highlights of the fair was the Circular Economy Afternoon Session, where experts and company representatives discussed the practical applications of circular economy in construction.

Speakers included:

● Benjamin Kalliola, YIT

● Raine Holmborg, AMP Yhtiöt Oy

● Leo Salomaa, Make a BIM

● Nikolas Salomaa, nolla_E

● Ilkka Tomperi, CapMan

In his talk, Nikolas Salomaa, founder and CEO of nolla_E, presented our energy efficiency

optimisation software and shared how circular HVAC systems can transform the built

environment. The presentation sparked great interest, particularly regarding cost-effective

and sustainable solutions.

“We met a lot of relevant contacts, and there seems to be significant demand for our solution in Germany. I believe these discussions will lead to new business opportunities. The fair was an excellent starting point for nolla_E’s expansion into the German market,” says CEO Nikolas Salomaa.

Long days, short evenings

The fair days were intense – packed from morning to evening with sessions, discussions,

and travel between the hotel and the fairgrounds. There was little time to explore the city, but a quick workout at the hotel gym helped recharge for the next day. Despite the tight

schedule, the atmosphere was inspiring, and the conversations were full of new ideas and

energy.

Networking, insights, and steps towards internationalisation

Expo Real provided valuable opportunities to discuss circular economy, energy efficiency,

and sustainable construction with professionals from across Europe.

For nolla_E, the fair marked a clear step forward in internationalisation. We have already

started follow-up discussions with potential partners in Germany and other European

markets, as interest in our technology continues to grow.

“Participating in EXPO REAL strengthened our visibility and credibility as a trusted Finnish innovator in circular building technologies,” Salomaa adds.

Thank you for the collaboration

A sincere thank you to everyone we met and collaborated with during the event. Expo Real

2025 once again showed that through collaboration, we can accelerate the transition

towards a more circular and sustainable built environment – internationally.
